This includes the tracking of page load times and resource loading duration (image files, Javascript files, CSS files, etc.). The site owner has the ability to force this feature to honor DNT settings of visitors. By default, DNT is currently not honored. For more information about how WordPress processes data, please see the WordPress.org Privacy Policy.

How We Secure Your Data

We do our best to keep your Personal Data safe.  We use safe protocols for communication and transferring data (such as HTTPS). We use anonymizing and pseudonymizing where suitable.

SSL Certificate: A service provided and installed through our web host, SiteGround. Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is the secure version of HTTP, the protocol over which data is sent between your browser and the website you are connected to. The “S” at the end of HTTPS stands for “Secure” meaning all communication between your browser and the website is encrypted.

We monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks in the following ways:

SG Site Scanner: A service provided through our web host, SiteGround, scans Alabama Bucket List daily for malware and other possible vulnerabilities and attacks.

Wordfence: We use this security plugin for real-time monitoring and scanning of Alabama Bucket List. Wordfence is an endpoint firewall and integrated malware scanner. The service also defends against brute force attacks by limiting login attempts, enforcing strong passwords, and providing two-factor identity authentication when logging in to the Alabama Bucket List website. Additionally, our administrators are notified each time any admin logs in from a new device or location. You can view Wordfence’s Privacy Policy here and read more about the cookies it uses here.

Akismet: This anti-spam plugin is used on the Alabama Bucket List website to protect against spam.

Two-Factor Identity Authentication: Alabama Bucket List uses this security feature where offered. Good examples of this are with our email service MailChimp and our Website security plugin Wordfence.

Even though we try our best we can not guarantee the security of information. However, we promise to notify suitable authorities of data breaches. We will also notify you if there is a threat to your rights or interests. We will do everything we reasonably can to prevent security breaches and to assist authorities should any breaches occur.
