What is Galentine's Day?
Galentine’s Day is a relatively newer holiday. The concept originated on the TV show Parks and Recreation in 2010 and grew into today’s cultural phenomenon.
Valentine’s Day has long been sarcastically referred to as “single’s discrimination day” and Galentine’s Day somewhat came out of this idea. It is meant to do the opposite of celebrating love with a significant other. Instead, it celebrates love and friendship with gal pals.

If you’re puzzled by the heading, you aren’t alone. I was too. However, the Galentine’s In The Sour Room is for real.
This event hosted by Avondale Brewing Company (they have it going ON) will feature candle making, a dessert bar, and cocktails for purchase at the bar. Not sure about you but I can’t think of anything that screams fun with the gals more than this!
