Scotts Orchard (🍎🍎)

Let me start by introducing you to a real gem in Hazel Green, North Alabama—Scott’s Orchard. Since 1927, these folks have been dishing out apple goodness, nearly a century of apple-growing know-how!

While they’re open from June to December, September and beyond are when the real magic happens, thanks to the fantastic fall weather. For good reason, everyone in the area can’t stop raving about this place!

Scott’s Orchard offers a jaw-dropping variety of apples and that’s just the beginning. They’ve got a treasure trove of apple-inspired treats that’ll make your taste buds dance.

From apple butter and caramel apples to slushies and the most heavenly apple cider doughnuts, they have something for everyone.

What’s more, Scott’s Orchard is a hotspot for fun beyond apple picking in Alabama! They’ve got everything from paint classes to storytime for the little ones.

With trees just the right height for them, even the tiniest apple pickers can get in on the action. For the grown-ups, don’t miss the chance to unwind while making your own relaxing products at Spa Night for just $50.

Now, let’s talk numbers. It’s only $5 per person to get in. When you’re ready to gather your apple haul, they’ve got half-peck bags for $8 and full-peck bags for $14. To give you an idea, a half peck holds around 12 apples while a full peck can fit about 24 juicy apples!

Next on my list of apple orchards in Alabama is Crow Mountain Orchard! Located right in the heart of Jackson County in North Alabama, this farm takes its tagline, “Fresh Fruit Like It Was Meant To Be,” pretty seriously.

This orchard is all about that personal touch. It’s a family-run operation which makes it even more special. When it comes to apples, these babies are as fresh as it gets making it one of the best apple orchards in Alabama. You can bet on finding some of the highest quality of apples around!

The best part? They keep you in the know about what’s in stock through their lively Facebook page. Whether you plan to munch on them right away or whip up some delectable apple pies at home, they’ve got the apple variety to satisfy your every craving.

Now, for pricing. They’re easy on the wallet to begin with but it gets even better. For fruits with a little surface damage, a tiny bruise, extra ripeness, or a smaller size, they sell them as #2 quality at an even lower price.

Sure, you won’t find tours or apple-picking activities at Crow Mountain Orchards. However, if you’re a fruit lover, this place is an absolute must-visit. Also, you absolutely can’t leave without sipping on their refreshing fresh apple cider!
